PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical frames for mounting a door and a construction method for door-mounting vertical frames, wherein a height position of a metal fitting for the door can easily be adjusted on site and a finished appearance after the construction is excellent. SOLUTION: The vertical frame structure A, B for mounting a door and its construction method are as follows. Vertical frame bodies 2A, 2B are fixed on an inner circumference 1a of vertical parts of an opening 1 for construction. Metal fittings 4A, 4B for the door are housed and fixed in elongate recesses 3A, 3B of the same width in vertical direction formed in an inner side 21 of the vertical frame bodies 2A, 2B. Then, decorative materials 5A, 5B are filled and fixed in the residual space in the recesses 3A, 3B, where the metal fittings 4A, 4B for the door are not housed, for covering them.
