PURPOSE:To easily design a pressing member of the titled device and besides, to reduce a manhour required for working and assembling the member by making the pressing member to be provided for pressing a workpiece of inverted conical quartz glass in the laser beam joining device. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with a laser oscillator 1 to emit a laser beam and the pressing member 2 to press a second workpiece 4 positioned on a first workpiece 3. Then, the laser beam is projected through the pressing member 2 to join the first workpiec 3 to the second workpiece 4. In this case, the pressing member 2 is made of the inverted conical quartz glass and a metallic film is formed on the conical surface by evaporation. In this way, since it is not necessary to make the member hollow as in the past, an opening part of the tip is eliminated and a selection of a shape and dimensions of the tip part is made comparatively free. Furthermore, the manday required for the working an assembling the member is reduced. |
