The transmission has a drive train arranged in a transmission housing (3) for transmitting or distributing force. A braking device (13) is provided for applying a brake force causing a brake torque. A planetary unit (5) has effective surfaces provided for discharging the brake torque into the planetary unit. The effective surfaces are provided on both sides of a planetary wheel (9) and disposed to a part laterally adjacent to the planetary wheel.
