<p>A hardenable composition which comprises (1) a radical polymerizable monomer, (2) an organosilicon compound having epoxy group at one end, (3) an organosilicon compound having a radical polymerizable functional group at one end, (4) an amine compound, (5) a photochromic compound and (6) a photopolymerization initiator, wherein the compound of component (2) is a compound having silanol group or a group which forms silanol group by hydrolysis, and the compound of component (3) is a compound having silanol group or a group which forms silanol group by hydrolysis; and an optical member which comprises a photochromic coating layer formed by coating an optical substrate with the hardenable composition described above and hardening the composition. The photochromic coating layer in the optical member exhibits excellent adhesion with the optical substrate and a great strength of the film.</p> |
