A method and an apparatus for processing information of a telematics terminal are provided to service immediately traffic information required by a user regardless of receiving capacity by storing the traffic information while playing video and audio signals. Traffic information is received while playing broadcasting data(S12). Traffic information corresponding to a predetermined range among traveling routes from a current position of vehicles to a destination is received(S13). The received traffic information is generated based on information related to the current position of vehicles. The traffic information is displayed on a screen(S16).
