PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproduction device and a reproduction method, capable of arbitrarily changing the output scheme of data to be reproduced, based on an attributes of data to be reproduced. SOLUTION: Video data is stored in a file, in a video title set (VTS) 72 of an optical disc 10. In the video title set (VTS) 72, video title set information (VTSI) 94 for managing the video title set (VTS) 72 has been described. The video title set information (VTSI) 94 is provided with a table (VTSI-MAT) 98 for managing the video title set information 94. In the table (VTSI-MAT) 98, attributes specific to the video data (VTS-V-ATR) stored in the title set (VTS) 72 have been described.
