PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body structure of a railroad vehicle, lightweight and causing less deformation under a load. SOLUTION: This body structure of the railroad vehicle is furnished with a side body structure. A pair of first openings and more than one second opening are provided on this side body structure. A pair of the first openings is provided on one side and the other side in the longitudinal direction of the railroad vehicle. The second opening is provided between a pair of the first openings. Rigidity of a first peripheral edge part of the side body structure along a peripheral edge of the first opening is higher than rigidity of a second peripheral edge part of the side body structure along a peripheral edge of the second opening.
