<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline cell excellent in initial high-load discharge characteristic and that after storing. <P>SOLUTION: The alkaline cell is equipped with a positive electrode including a positive mix containing lambda-manganese dioxide and electrolytic manganese dioxide having one or more elements selected from a group consisting of Ni, Co, Ti, Fe, Mg, Zn and Sn, which are substituted for parts of Mn in a positive mix. Thereby, distances among crystals of lambda-manganese dioxide change and its structural stability in alkali electrolyte improves. Consequently, the high-load discharge characteristic is not degraded after the storing and excellent high-load discharge characteristic at the time of high-load discharging can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
