<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is configured such that items equipped with memories can be shared with units of an extension model and a series model, and with units of respective colors of the same model. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises a unit fitted to an apparatus body, a memory which stores data in the unit, a fixing member for detachably arranging the memory in the unit, and a contact section which is connected to a terminal of the memory and whose opening/closing state is determined when the memory is arranged in the unit by the fixing member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
