<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing 1-hexene by an ethylene oligomerization reaction, by which the 1-hexene of target substance can be produced at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the 1-hexene comprises following processes. A reaction process: a process for subjecting ethylene to an oligomerization reaction in the presence of a catalyst containing a transition metal to convert at least one part of the ethylene to the 1-hexene, thus obtaining a mixture comprising the 1-hexene, the unreacted ethylene and a reaction solvent. A catalyst-inactivating process: a process for adding a catalyst-inactivating compound to the mixture obtained in the reaction process to obtain a mixture containing the inactivated catalyst. A reaction solvent-separating process: a process for subjecting the mixture obtained in the catalyst-inactivating process to a distillation to obtain a gas and/or a liquid containing the unreacted ethylene and the 1-hexene from the overhead and further obtain a liquid containing the reaction solvent as a main component from the bottom. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
