PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit the use of software such as an application without requiring any labor by using a password, and to improve the security of software while reducing the labor of the management of the password. SOLUTION: This password conversion device 10 interposed between software 11 for requiring the input of a password and an input means 2 for inputting the password in response to a password input request from the software is provided with an acquisition means SW1 for acquiring the password input through the input means without handing it over to the software; a storage means 104 for storing the conversion rule of the password; a conversion means 103 for converting the acquired password into a different password according to the conversion rule; and a means 101 for handing the converted password over to the software.
