PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of the work for splicing a tape. SOLUTION: A reel 12 is loaded in a loading part 26, the loading part 26 is rotated into the reverse direction A to the direction of tape winding of the reel 12, and a non-supplied part of the tape 10 wound around the reel 12 is unwound and is temporarily held around the reel 12 (an annular channel 44 in a tape holding part 30). The reel 12 is replaced with a new reel 18, and a tip part 10b of the tape 10 of the new reel 18 and a last tail 10a of the tape 10 held in the tape holding part are mutually connected. After that, the new reel 18 is rotated into the direction B of tape winding to wind the non-supplied part of the tape 10 held in the tape holding part 30 around the new reel 18. The new reel 18 is set to a tape feeder 16 of a tape supply device to splice the tape without stopping supply of tape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
