<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of converting vibrational energy into electric energy highly efficiently and storing it, at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has: a drive source which is driven by a driving control means and has at least one or more vibration modes; and an energy supply system which is obtained by combining a vibrational energy conversion device converting the vibrational energy of the drive source into the electric energy with a rechargeable battery device for storing the electric energy generated by the conversion device. The image forming apparatus is configured in such a manner that material and shape are selected to make resonant mode frequencies held by a holding mechanism for attaching the conversion device to the inside of the image forming apparatus approximate (±5Hz) or correspond to at least one of vibrational frequencies generated by the drive source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
