<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of pressing needs in the whole world that common factors to be a bridge between both isolated Parkinson's disease and AR-JP (autosomal recessive juvenile parkinsonism) which are both ranked as specific diseases of intractable diseases are elucidated and knowledge obtained therein is utilized for diagnosis, therapy and prophylaxis of the diseases. <P>SOLUTION: A new PBP (parkin-binding protein), a gene thereof and an antibody thereto functioning as the above common factors are provided. In addition, a diagnostic agent, a therapeutic agent and a prophylactic agent for the following diseases using the PBP, gene thereof and antibody thereto are provided.
