PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an acrylic type porous substrate, wherein film formation is easy and design of thickness can freely be conducted. SOLUTION: In the method for producing an acrylic type porous substrate, 60-99.99 wt% of an alkyl (meth)acrylate, 0.01-10 wt% of a polymerizable monomer containing a functional group and 0-39.99 wt% of other polymerizable monomer are polymerized in an aqueous dispersion state to give an aqueous dispersion of an acrylic type copolymer, then the aqueous dispersion is cast to remove an aqueous medium by freeze-drying, and at the same time a cross-linking reaction is performed by using the functional group contained in the acrylic type copolymer.
