<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pair identifier for optical-fiber for preventing erroneous determination of a coated optical-fiber contrast signal and communication light by acquiring to surely separate the optical-fiber contrast signal and the communication light. <P>SOLUTION: The pair identifier for optical-fiber sets optical-fiber contrast signal light in wavelength different from the communication light, gives bending on a part of an optical fiber propagating the coated optical fiber contrast signal light and the communication light, and surely detects the existence of the optical-fiber contrast signal light in the optical fiber by providing a wavelength selection means having transmission characteristics newly transmitting only the optical-fiber contrast signal light with a light receiving element light-receiving leakage light leaked from the bent part.
