PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect-trapping and killing apparatus developing a sufficient insect-trapping and killing effect even on insects that are attracted by an insect-attracting light irradiated from an attracting light source or reflected from the liquid level of a insect-trapping liquid but only pass between the lowest end part of the attracting light source and the liquid level of the insect-trapping liquid and are not caught. SOLUTION: The insect-trapping and killing apparatus 1 is equipped with the attracting light source 6 for irradiating an insect-attracting light containing an ultraviolet light so as to attract insects and an insect-trapping liquid container 2 that is arranged opposingly to the lowest end part of the attracting light source 6 and holds a insect-trapping liquid 12. A dividing plate 10 dividing a space laid between a plane that passes the lowest end part 13 of the attracting light source 6 and is approximately parallel to the liquid level 11 of the insect-trapping liquid 12 and the liquid level 11 of the insect-trapping liquid 12 is arranged so as to cross the liquid level 11 of the insect-trapping liquid 12.
