<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic timepiece having radio functions allowing noncontact charging, and allowing easily size reduction and thinning. <P>SOLUTION: This radio-controlled timepiece 1 is provided with an antenna 7, a receiving part 11, a capacitor part 22, a driving part, a time display means operated by the driving part, a reception-charge change-over switch 60 for switching-connecting the antenna to either of the receiving part 11 or to the capacitor part 22, and a motor change-over switch 41 for switching the driving part to either driving condition or the stopping condition. The reception-charge change-over switch 60 switches a connection of the antenna from the receiving part 11 to the capacitor part 22, when the time piece 1 is set to an external charger 100. The motor change-over switch 41 switches the driving part from the driving condition to the stopping condition, when the time piece 1 is set to the external charger 100.
