PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-barrier film which is excellent in flexibility, transparency, heat resistance, solvent resistance, and interlayer adhesion, is light, is not broken, is bent, and indicates high gas-barrier properties to water vapor, oxygen, etc. SOLUTION: A sol gel layer 13, an overcoat layer 15, and an inorganic compound layer 17 are laminated in turn on at least one surface of a plastic film substrate 11. Preferably, the sol gel layer is the hydrolyzate of a metal alkoxide containing aluminum or titanium as a main metal component, the overcoat layer contains an acrylate resin as a main component, and the inorganic compound layer is silicon oxide, silicon nitride, silicon carbide, indium tin oxide (ITO), aluminum oxide, aluminum nitride, or a mixture of at least two of the above compounds.
