PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a record reproduction apparatus capable of properly recognizing the storage state of an SRM file. SOLUTION: The CPU 270 of the record reproduction apparatus 200 temporarily acquires an SRM file as needed using an SRM registration means and stores the SRM file in a first storage means 250. Encrypted version information obtained through the encryption of the version information of the SRM file is stored in a second storage means 260 as SRM acquisition history information. Based on the storage state of the SRM file in the first storage means 250 and the encrypted version information of the SRM acquisition history information in the second storage means 260, the CPU 270 recognizes, using a registered state detection means, whether or not the SRM file stored in the first storage means 250 is officially registered by an official registration process means.
