PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of measuring a tissue property by an operation easier than before and improving the measurement accuracy of the tissue property. SOLUTION: In this ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus provided with a probe 1, a control part 9, a transmission part 2 and a reception part 3, an inclination angle calculation part 8, a tissue tracing part 5 and a tissue property calculation part 6 are included. The inclination angle calculation part detects the inclination angle of internal tissue. The control part has the first mode of operating the transmission part and the reception part so as to obtain tomographic images and the second mode of calculating a deflection angle for making an ultrasonic beam be incident vertically to the internal tissue on the basis of the inclination angle, making the transmission part generate transmission pulses for emitting the ultrasonic beam at the deflection angle and making the reception part detect the reception signals of an ultrasonic echo from a deflection direction forming the deflection angle as operation modes. The tissue tracing part analyzes the reception signals detected in the reception part at the time of the operation in the second mode and traces the movement of the internal tissue.
