PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel prevented from oscillation sound and lowering of panel performance caused by impurities by arranging recess grooves for barrier ribs receiving warp of end parts of the partition walls and recess parts for exhaustion exhausting gas containing impurities generated at sealing. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel is composed of a front face side substrate, on which a plurality of electrodes parallel with each other are formed, and a back face side substrate, on which at least the partition walls are formed in a direction crossing the electrodes. Each recess groove for the partition wall, receiving the protrusion of the end parts of each partition wall, is formed at a position contacting the both end parts of the partition wall of the front face side substrate when sticking the front face side substrate on the back face side substrate in a direction crossing the partition wall.
