<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting diode igniter capable of discouraging failure in illumination of light emitting diodes even when they are used in a low temperature environment, or a power supply voltage is lowered. <P>SOLUTION: This light emitting diode lighting device is equipped with a control part composed of an LED series circuit 6 formed by a plurality of the light emitting diodes, a transistor Tr2 to supply a light emitting voltage to the LED series circuit 6 by receiving the power supply voltage Vdc, a comparator CMP1 to short-circuit a part of the plurality of the light emitting diodes in the LED series circuit 6 when a forward voltage VLED generated in the LED series circuit 6 by the light emitting voltage supplied from the transistor Tr2 exceeds a preset reference voltage Vref1, so as to have the number of the light emitting diodes which can be lighted under the light emitting voltage supplied from the transistor Tr2, a resistor 4, and a thyristor Th1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
