PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a image recognizing device capable of detecting correctly an object in images acquired from two imager, in relatively simple hardware formation and with small computational effort, even when there are difference of properties between two imagers. SOLUTION: Whole contrast values of the two images acquired from two imagers are computed, an image with greater contrast value is adopted as a reference image and the other image is to be a relative image (S14). Using brightness of a reference pattern including the object figure in the reference image and, on the other hand, brightness of a shape pattern same as that of the reference pattern in the relative image, correlative parameters are computed and then corresponding patterns are extracted, based on the computed correlative parameters (S17).
