PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of an actuator for a valve that can detect an original point by precisely controlling the rotational angle of a valve body of a rotating valve, and can precisely control the valve while preventing the generation of a difference between the rotational angle of the valve body and the control angle of the actuator. SOLUTION: The control method of the actuator for the valve opens and closes the valve 20 by an electric motor 2 as shown in Fig.2. A detected part 36 is arranged at an output shaft 4 or a control shaft that controls the valve body in the valve so as to be opened and closed, a detection part 37 that corresponds to the detected part is arranged in a proper position in an actuator body 1, and the detection part detects whether the valve is in a state that the valve body is rotated in a valve-closed direction from the original point O, or in a state that the valve body is rotated in a valve-opened direction, when a state that a valve opening angle is zero is set as the original point O. On the other hand, at the non-operation of the output shaft 4, the valve body is reset to a position of the original point O by the control of the output shaft 4 or the control shaft in accordance with the opening and closing states when a signal of the detected part 36 is detected.
