<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater controller device of gas concentration sensor, capable of enhancing detection accuracy by inhibiting the false detection of element resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The heater controller device for gas concentration sensor comprises a sensor element using a solid electrolyte; a gas concentration sensor having a heater for heating the sensor element concerned to active status; an element resistance detecting means for detecting element resistance of the gas concentration sensor from the change in current or change in voltage, when the impressed voltage or the current to the sensor element is temporarily switched to the value for element resistive detecting means, a heater controller means for making power distribution to the heater turn on/off periodically; while when the detecting period of element resistance by the element resistance detecting means overlaps the timing of switching on/off at the power distribution to the heater. either each timing is forcibly shifted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
