<p>The present invention relates to an arrangement and a method for controlling an HCCI engine. The arrangement comprises a control unit (21) adapted to initiating closure and/or opening of the inlet valve (8) and/or the exhaust valve (11) at a crankshaft angl (ivc, ivo, eve) in such a way that the self-ignition of the fuel mixture occurs when the crankshaft (5) is at a desired crankshaft angle (SOCbßr). The arrangement comprises cards (22, 27, 32) adapted to storing relevant values of said crankshaft angle (ivc, ivo, eve) as a function of at least one operation-related parameter (n, t) and means (19, 37- 43) for estimating values of the operation-related parameter (n, t) during operation of the combustion engine (1). The control unit (21) is adapted to adjusting the inlet valv (8) and/or the exhaust valve (11) with the stored value of the crankshaft angle (ivc, iv eve) which corresponds to the estimated current value of the operation-related parameter (n, t).</p> |
