PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phototherapy which can minimize the accidental radiation exposure of a diseased part and can give an effective PUVA (psoralen ultraviolet A) treatment to a patient. SOLUTION: This phototherapy composition contains a UVB absorber for protecting a skin diseased part. Since the phototherapy composition is topically coated, the phototherapy composition does not produce side effects caused by oral administration. The method of the present invention comprises applying the composition containing a UVB and/or UVA absorber to a region on the periphery of a diseased part, undesired accidental UVB and/or UVA radiations can be reduced.
