PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a built-in handle suitable for an opening/closing object having a different thickness. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the handle, a handle main body 42 which is fitted into a hole 44 formed in a front board 38 of a slide door 36, has a flange 46 protruded from an opening peripheral edge thereof, so as to abut on a front surface of the front board 38 when the main body 42 is fitted into the hole 44. Then the handle main body 42 has a plurality of positioning protrusions 52 formed on one side of the peripheral edge thereof, at locations being spaced a required distance away from a rear surface of the flange 46. Further the handle main body 42 has a plurality of engaging protrusions 56 protruded from the other side of the peripheral edge thereof via an elastic member 54 perpendicularly protruding from the flange 46. Furthermore each positioning protrusion 52 and each engaging protrusion 56 have inclined portions 52a, 56a on respective surfaces facing the flange 46, so as to be inclined at 45°in directions that are separated from the flange 46 at locations farther from the handle main body 42 to the outside.
