A system and a method for sealing/unsealing a freight container with an RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) tag and a location recognition technology are provided to prevent theft and loss of freight contained in a freight container by storing an RFID tag number of a lock installed to the freight container and delivery information, and checking whether location information and the RFID tag number received from a destination place by using the registered location information and RFID tag number. A freight container lock(10) is embedded with RFID tag information for sealing/unsealing a freight container(50). A PDA(Personal Digital Assistant)(20) transmits RFID tag information of the freight container lock to a GPS(Global Positioning System) satellite(30), seals/unseals the freight container lock, and includes a GPS receiver(13) receiving information about the current location from the GPS satellite. A delivery information processing system(40) generates/transmit a sealing/unsealing approval signal of the freight container lock to the PDA by comparing the RFID tag information and the current location information received from the PDA with the registered delivery information and the RFID tag information. |
