PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel that can suppress the lost motion phenomenon of the power transmission device, when the operation part is operated, with respect to a fishing reel that is made possible to carry out auxiliary winding operation for winding the spool by the operation part of an auxiliary operation member set on the reel main body. SOLUTION: The fishing reel is equipped with an operation part 40a set on the position at which the operating member can be moved with the fingers of the hand holding the rod, supports rotatably the auxiliary operating member 40 that can make possible to auxiliarily wind the line onto the spool against the biasing force, and a one-way clutch 50 is interposed between the driving shaft that is rotated by the operation of the auxiliary operating member 40 and the gears 45 constructing the motive power transfer mechanism transmitting power to the spool, and to provide a suppressing means for suppressing the lost motion of the gear 45 by the following rotation in the same direction, when the auxiliary operating member 40 comes back to its initial position by the biasing power.
