PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect trap which can distribute insect-attracting rays in the lower insect trap, to trap insects below the insect trap and prevents visual observation of the characteristic blue rays of an insect-attracting lamp so that the installation of the insect trap is not visually observed. SOLUTION: This insect trap 1 has an insect-attracting lamp 2 and a lamp cover 4 which covers at least the lower side of the insect-attracting lamp 2. The lamp cover 4 is formed of an optical filter member. The optical filter member has characteristics, wherein the maximum transmittance of rays having wavelengths of about 360 nm to 370 nm among UV rays is attracting about 60% or more, and the maximum transmittance of blue rays is 10% or lower. As a result, the UV rays of insect-attracting rays transmit the lamp cover 4 to irradiate the lower side of the insect trap. Accordingly, insects below the insect trap can be attracted and trapped. Since the quantity of the blue rays can be reduced by the optical filter member, the characteristic rays of the insect-attracting lamp can be prevented from visually observed by persons rays.
