The formation of contacting and current collecting electrodes involves arranging thin current collecting fingers (2) parallely on a front side of a solar cell (1), relative to a small distance. A series of individual junctures is formed, which are perpendicular to the current collecting fingers. Multiple parallel fingers merge on both sides, particularly by bending (4) in an area of the junctures. The formed connections are connected with the metallic contact strip by soldering.
