<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element mounted component that has excellent thermal resistance as well as low water absorbency and that can reduce loss of light propagation, and to provide an optical element mounting component that has improved positioning accuracy in loading an optical element. <P>SOLUTION: The optical element mounting component includes: a wiring part which has a pad for loading an optical element with an electrode; and an optical circuit substrate composed of an optical waveguide layer, which is laminated on one side of the wiring part containing a loading part for loading the optical element with the electrode and containing a pad in the loading part, which is equipped with a core layer having a core part and a clad part that has a lower refractive index than the core part, and which is equipped with a clad layer installed in contact with at least one side of the core layer and provided with a lower refractive index than the core part. The optical circuit substrate is provided with a receptor structure for the purpose of electric conductance between the electrode of the optical element and the pad of the wiring part.
