PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder resin composition for toner and a toner showing preferable fixing performance, offset resistance, image stability and durability. SOLUTION: The binder resin composition for toner contains a polyester resin, wherein the composition contains a polyester resin having a structural unit derived from an oxidized polyolefin and an oxidized polyolefin. The method for manufacturing the binder resin composition for toner includes polymerization of an acid component and an alcohol component in the presence of an oxidized polyolefin.
