PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens drive which can be miniaturized and thinned, and an optical pickup device. SOLUTION: The objective lens drive comprises: a lens holder provided with an objective lens on the center part of an upper surface facing an optical disk and provided with coil attaching parts on both sides centering on the objective lens; two sets of coils respectively joined to the coil attaching parts, for which a tracking coil and a focus coil are combined; two sets of magnets respectively disposed at positions facing each other on both sides of the two sets of coils across the lens holder; a fixing part to which the two sets of magnets are fixed; and a support member whose one end is fixed to the fixing part and other end is fixed to the lens holder, for keeping the lens holder hollow. The outer shape of the focus coil is nearly a rectangular parallelpiped shape, and the tracking coil is in a U shape over the three side faces of the outer shape of the focus coil and is disposed in contact with the three side faces.
