PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, thin camera module that can measure distance to an object, aims at gaining both of daytime color reproducibility and nighttime sensitivity, and can be utilized day and night continuously without providing any mechanical mechanism for turning on/off an infrared cut filter. SOLUTION: The camera module has a plurality of imaging units, having a lens 1, an optical filter 2, and an imaging region 4 having a number of pixels. The plurality of imaging units comprise: a red light imaging unit; a blue light imaging unit; a green light imaging unit; and an infrared light imaging unit. There are each two imaging units selected from the red light imaging unit, blue light imaging unit, and the green light imaging unit, and each two infrared light imaging units. The camera module has an arithmetic circuit 5 for comparing and computing image information outputted from each imaging region of the plurality of imaging units, and each lens of the plurality of imaging units is integrated.
