The ship has a main power supply (10), and a diesel generator set (DG) for producing an electrical energy for the main power supply, which controls an excess energy. An electrically driven compressor (12) is switched on for using balance energy in the main power supply for producing compressor air, such that formation of air bubbles in parts of a ship body (1) is achieved. A shaft generator, which feeds the electrical energy, is operated as a booster.
