<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch between a data input mode for using a software keyboard and a data input mode for using the whole area of a display means to display input data by a comparatively simple structure and operation. <P>SOLUTION: A transparent touch panel 1 integrated with an inorganic EL 2 is overlaid on an LCD 3 in a normal condition, and key input is carried out by touching the touch panel 1 while visually recognizing a software keyboard displayed in a part of the display area of the LCD 3. When the touch panel 1 is pulled to the position, not overlapped on the LCD 3, in the direction along the face of the LCD 3 from above the LCD 3, voltage is supplied to the inorganic EL 2, and a key pattern previously formed in the inorganic EL 2 is illuminated and displayed. A user can input characters in a manner similar to that for a normal keyboard by touching the positions of respective illuminated and displayed keys from the surface of the touch panel 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
