摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a downsized and low-cost element driving means by improving a yield of an optical path deflection element and suppressing an increase in a size of a driving circuit. SOLUTION: The driving means 10 to apply a voltage to a resistive film 5 formed on surfaces of substrates 2, 3 divides and controls voltages to be supplied to line electrodes E1, E5 on both ends and intermediate line electrodes E2, E3, E4 spaced between the line electrodes E1, E5 at equally spaced out of line electrode columns 4 of the optical path deflection element 1 with voltage control circuits 11a-11e. Even when resistance of the resistive film 5, forming a horizontal electric field parallel to the substrates 2, 3, as a whole is increased, the yield is improved by suppressing increase in time constants in respective divided driving regions of the voltage control circuits 11a-11e, and widening an allowable range of the resistance of the resistive film 5, and at the same time increase in the number of elements composing the driving means 10 itself is also suppressed.
