PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording medium capable of preventing fraudulent copying by a ripping action even when using a recording and reproducing device which is already spread. SOLUTION: A VOB (#1) 27a not to be referred to from any PGCI 30 inside a VTSI file 26 is disposed inside a VOBS file 27, and a section on a disk corresponding to the VOB (#1) 27a in a data track 21 is defined as a special data track section 21a for obstructing the read of a reproducing device.
