PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organicacid ester-containing lubricating oil for bearing having basic requirements such as low viscosity, high viscosity index, heat resistance, lubricating properties, and low-temperature fluidity with good balance among them. SOLUTION: The lubricating oil contains an aliphatic carboxylic acid monoester represented by formula (1) and has kinematic viscosity of 5-15 mm<SP>2</SP>/s and a viscosity index of 100 or higher at 40°C. In formula (1), R<SP>1</SP>is a 7-11C linear or branched alkyl group; R<SP>2</SP>is a 1-13C linear or branched saturated alkyl group; X is a 2-4C linear or branched alkylene group; and n is an integer of 1-5, provided that, when n is 2 or greater, each X may be the same or different.
