PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeper drilling machine which can surely and vertically drill a hole even in a sleeper made of a hard material, and to prevent the scattering of chips produced during drilling. SOLUTION: A moving body-side vertical rod 12, which is vertically installed, is provided on an on-rail moving body 2 which is placed and moved on a rail. A main body-side vertical rod 21 of a drilling machine body 3 is connected to the moving body-side vertical rod by means of a connecting implement 4. Guide pipes 3a and 3b, which are fitted with a drill body and which can move on guide rods 22a and 22b provided at the lower end of the main body-side vertical rod, are provided. The guide pipe is pushed upward by spring 32a and 32b. A leading end of the guide rod is equipped with a drilling guide 28, and a fitting and insertion portion 35c for guiding a blade 39 of a drill rotated by the drill body is provided.
