A method for changing channel is provided to transmit information related with a target channel during the delay time of channel changing in an IPTV. A frame extraction module(210) periodically extracts the partial image from a broadcasting program. A zapping channel generation module(220) produces the zapping channel by multiplexing the periodic partial image which the frame extraction module extracts. A zapping channel transmission module(240) transmits the zapping channel which is produced by the zapping channel generation module.
