A pixel interleaving method and an apparatus thereof are provided to reduce the coherence of pixel errors and to improve the quality of video signal in wireless communication. Video pixels are transmitted from a transmitter to a receiver through a radio communications channel. Video pixels are required from the video source. The video pixels are interleaved. The interleaved pixels are convolution-encoded. The encoded pixels are transmitted to the receiver.
