PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silent chain transmission device further reducing the noise occurring in engagement of the silent chain with a sprocket wheel. SOLUTION: The silent chain transmission device 1 is equipped with the silent chain 2 and the sprocket wheel 3. In a link plate 20 of the silent chain 2, circular arc shape recessed parts 21d are formed respectively on the portions near the ends of mutually opposing inside flanks 21b of a pair of front and rear link teeth 21. In the sprocket wheel 3, at least a part of a tooth part 31 is constituted by a cycloid tooth form, and constituted to abut on the other link tooth 21 while slide-contacting with one side link tooth 21 in the cycloid tooth form portion. The pitch Ps of the sprocket wheel 3 is smaller than the chain pitch Pϕof the silent chain 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
