PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of preventing the deterioration of image quality. SOLUTION: The fixing device 20 is provided with a fixing roller 41 which fixes a toner image transferred to a paper P on it and conveys the paper P along a predetermined conveying path and a separation claw unit 60 which separates the paper P from the fixing roller 41. The separation claw unit 60 includes: a claw member 62 which has a tip claw portion 62b which comes into contact with the circumferential surface of the fixing roller 41, separating the paper P from the fixing roller 41; a holder member 61 which holds the claw member 62; and a roller member 63 which is provided in the holder member 61, so as to project in the conveying path, in a position on the downstream side of the conveying path from the tip claw portion 62b and guides the paper P to the downstream side of the conveying path while rotating in contact with the paper P separated from the fixing roller 41. A paper contact portion 63b located on the circumferential surface of the roller member 63 is inclined at a predetermined inclination angleθwith respect to the axial center A of the roller member 63, so as to come in surface contact with the paper P.
