PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for inner liner, in which consideration to resource saving and environmental protection is sufficiently done, exhibiting characteristics suitable for an inner liner rubber, particularly excellent resistance to air permeability and resistance to flection and crack-growing properties, and a pneumatic tire having the inner liner rubber composed of the rubber composition. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for inner liner comprises 100 pts.mass rubber component and 0.1 to 10 pts.mass zinc oxide particles having≤200 nm average diameter.
