PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag for a front passenger seat which is easily manufactured, and capable of easily adjusting a shape of a recess by suppressing fluctuation in the width dimension in the right-to-left direction when inflation is completed. SOLUTION: The airbag 15 comprises a peripheral wall panel part 33 consisting of a left cloth 34 and a right cloth 40 of substantially same shape in which areas of a left wall section, a right wall section, an upper wall section and a lower wall section are divided into two in the right-to-left direction, and rear edges 34d, 40d are curved so as to be projected backwardly, and an occupant side panel part 47 consisting of a pair of right and left occupant side cloths 48L, 48R for dividing an area of a rear wall section in the right-to-left direction. The occupant side cloths 48L, 48R are of substantially crescent shape in which outer circumferential edges 49L, 49R are substantially along the curved shape on rear edges 34d, 40d side of the left cloth 34 and the right cloth 40. Inner circumferential edges 50L, 50R are coupled with each other, and outer circumferential edges 49L, 49R are coupled with the rear edges 34d, 40d of the left cloth 34 and the right cloth 40 to form the occupant side panel part 47.
