PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve total throughput by improving performance balance between devices even though an image input device undergoes operation stop during the operation of an image forming device in a system connecting an image input device and the image forming device. SOLUTION: In this system connecting a digital camera and a printer through a serial bus, the digital camera set in a node ID=0 by bus resetting when connected respectively, calculates times needed for each image processing in the connected printer and itself (S3201 to S3204), calculates the processing time of each combination (route) of the image processing allocated parts between the two devices (S3205) and executes a series of image processing on the basis of a route being the shortest time (S2306 and S3207).
